Deutzia scabra (Fuzzy pride-of-Rochester, Fuzzy pride of Rochester, Fuzzy Deutzia) is a small wide fully hardy perennial deciduous shrub with white and pink flowers in late Spring and early Summer. It grows well in semi-shade and direct sun, and prefers medium levels of water. The flowers are rotate shaped arranged in a cymose corymb inflorescence. It has average drought tolerance.  It looks best in Spring and Summer.

This is a rounded shrub has an ultimate height of 2.5m / 8.2ft and spread of 2m / 6.6ft. It can take 6-10 years to reach its ultimate height.
The leaves are green in Spring and Summer. They are llanceolate in shape.
Bank and slope, borders, cottage informal garden, flowering shrub and low maintenance.
Deutzia scabra has green bark with a papery texture.
